Safety Policies
Northside Baptist Church is committed to affording everyone in our care a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment conducive to their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Below you will see more details on policies regarding protecting minors, health, and weather.
Of particular concern is the safety of our children. We therefore adopted a revised version (11/2026) of “Policies and Procedures for the Protection of Minors.”
The goals of these policies and procedures are to protect against all forms of abuse or neglect regarding minors while they are in the care of Northside Baptist Church and to guide and inform all who work with minors at Northside Baptist Church. To accomplish these goals, Northside Baptist Church is setting forth procedures regarding hiring, volunteer recruitment and behavior expectations of all employees and volunteers.
Policies

At Northside our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our members, especially the most vulnerable. We have a robust child protection policy that every staff member and volunteer who works with minors on our campus is required to be trained on. In 2025 we updated our 2015 policy to better reflect the needs of today including guidance for transportation, social media and digital communication. Some highlights of the policy include:
Trained adults must be present with minors for all church sponsored events
Northside staff and volunteers are background checked
Northside staff and volunteers are state mandated reporters of suspected abuse and/or neglect

In situations where the church and church offices close due to inclement weather, a notification will be made through social media and through the church emails. When practical we follow the lead of the Clinton Public School District.
-
We aim to be considerate to all members of our community, especially those who may have a compromised immune system. For this reason, we ask that if you have symptoms of a contagious illness, that you engage with us online.
